PRRS Diagnostics Course


PRRS Diagnostics: Bringing value to your clients through accurate interpretation and sound implementation
Part #1 – Tools & How to Use Them (January 27/14 to February 9/14) Reviews the mechanics and interpretation of the PRRS diagnostic tool set and how these tools are used in the development of a comprehensive PRRS health management plan that is guided by the AASV PRRS classification framework.
Part #2 – Applying Diagnostics to PRRS Positive Scenarios (March 17 to 30/14) Focuses upon the use of PRRS diagnostic tools as a case scenario moves through an active infection (Stage 1) and transitions through the short term PRRS stable status (Stage 2A) into long term PRRS stable status (Stage 2C).
Part #3 – Applying Diagnostics to PRRS Negative Scenarios (May 5 to 18/14 OR May 12 to 25/14 – Date to be finalized) Focuses upon the use of PRRS diagnostic tools as a case scenario moves through an active infection (Stage 1) and transitions through the short term PRRS stable status (Stage 2A) into PRRS negative status (Stage 3). Monitoring populations for PRRS negative status will also be explored.
